Lavender Santolina Pruning

Time for the back breaking yearly chore of pruning the Santolina lavenders. I am a month late this year. It was just too hot to prune.

Mr Redneck remarked about their severe haircut. No point pussy footing around with lavenders. If they are not given a good and proper trim, they will get leggy and ugly in years to come. Moreover with a bit of rain, the new growth pops up really quickly to cover their spiky hairdo.
