Normal size garlic.....time to stick the cloves in the ground

Sometimes the growth rate of plants here are really astounding. These garlic were planted sometime last week with no hint of growth at all in the cloves but look at them now. If you are in New Zealand,  now is the time to grow your garlic.

These garlic cloves are the 'great grandchildren' from the store bought China garlic I planted in 2008. 

Old box files have been recyled as weed suppresser.
